Active Revision is a Creative Technology Studio Development Organisation.
We help young people move from learning to economic participation through production-based learning. We operate the founding Creative Technology Studio within the Dream Park network, develop the production-based learning methodology, and build the infrastructure required to scale a network of studios across South Africa.
What we are building
Active Revision exists to develop Creative Technologists: people who combine creativity, technology, storytelling, design, and engineering to solve problems, build products, and shape the future.
We believe the world’s greatest opportunities will be created by people who can move confidently between art and engineering, imagination and technology. That’s why our programmes are built around real productions, where young people create films, games, software, and digital experiences for real audiences while developing the skills to lead tomorrow’s technological industries.
Every production is a learning experience, but our ultimate achievement is not the work itself. Our real product is people, adaptable creators, critical thinkers, and future leaders equipped to imagine, build, and shape a rapidly changing world.

Production is the curriculum
The production itself is the learning environment. Learners do not simply complete courses; they contribute to films, games, software products, and digital experiences. They collaborate in teams, publish work to real audiences, and accumulate portfolios that demonstrate practical capability.

My journey at Active Revision has been nothing short of uplifting and life-changing. As one of Active Revision’s instructors, I’ve not only learned to lead, innovate, and design the curriculum, but I’ve also learned to listen, grow, and keep evolving. My experience at Active Revision has been truly rewarding, and I am proud to be part of its inspiring vision and mission.

At Active Revision, we inspire and empower young people from all walks of life to tell their stories through creative and engaging mediums. As an instructor, one of the most rewarding parts of my role is witnessing imagination come to life through the limitless possibilities of animation and game development.
For me, Active Revision is a place of growth and opportunity, being able to create without restriction is my favourite part. It is a space where your individuality, creativity and ideas truly shine.
